THERMOPLASTIC POLYURETHANE is one of the existing varieties within the linear elastomer family and therefore a thermoplastic. Since it is a thermoplastic elastomer based on urethane, it is abbreviated TPE-U, but is commonly known as TPU (in English Thermoplastic Polyurethane)
