HOW ARE METAL MOLDS MADE?

The piece is designed.
The mold is manufactured with its shape and what material it will use.
The material is poured in liquid form, so that it then hardens.
The piece is removed.
It is cleaned.
Polish if necessary.

HOW ARE COATING MOLDS MADE?

In coating casting, the model, made of wax, is coated with refractory material to make the mold, after which the wax is melted and evacuated before the molten metal is poured.

WHAT IS THE CASTING AND MOLDING PROCESS?

The molding process is a manufacturing procedure for metal objects based on pouring molten metal into the cavity of a mold, to obtain, after solidification and cooling, a piece that is a reproduction of the mold cavity.

WHAT IS A METAL MOLDING PROCESS?

It consists of pouring molten metal into a mold that is turned when the metal begins to solidify. The metal that has not solidified leaves the mold to be used in another part and the solidified metal forms the walls of the part. The result is thin metal walls.

What is metal injection?

Metal injection molding (Metal Injection Molding, MIM) is a powder metallurgy manufacturing technique that injects binder and metal powder into a mold or cavity, obtaining the green part with the shape of the final product.

What is plastic injection?

The plastic injection technique consists of molding an element thanks to a mold that houses the piece. The polymers are injected under pressure into the mold through a nozzle and the pressure is maintained constant while the part cools, giving it its final shape.
